FEB OR MARCH: We volunteer at the Foodbank of Southeastern VA and hold food drives and collections at events throughout the year.
JUNE: We participate in the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's "Clean the Bay Day".
DECEMBER: We distribute wreaths with Wreaths Across America at the Hampton VA cemetery.

AUGUST: Student Send-Off Picnic to welcome and "send off" local PSU students before they trek off to college!
OCTOBER: Represent Penn State at college fairs in the fall.
LATE SPRING APPLICATION: We offer a scholarship to local Penn State students.
SPRING & FALL: We send a gift during finals week to local students attending Penn State campuses.

ALL FALL: Of course, we host football TV Tailgates!
TV Watch Parties also include:

We cheer on PSU teams, D-1 or campus teams, when they are in the region. No matter the sport, no matter the distance, we support Penn State teams playing at universities or sports centers from Va Beach to Williamsburg.

Why the local chapter needs your support
We are responsible for raising funds to sustain our chapter student scholarship. We have awarded thousands of dollars to help offset the cost of out-of-state tuition.
We also distribute "Care Cards" - gift cards to spend on snacks, etc., during final exam studies. Each fall and spring semester, we send them to students from Hampton Roads attending any commonwealth campus.
